A tribute to a member of the Board of Directors, Charles J. Catt
Charles J. Catt, a member of our Board of Directors, passed away in the UK in the early days of 2026.
Until his passing, Charles acted as a mentor and later joined the Board of NPRE as a Non-Executive Director in early 2024, giving two years of exemplary service at a critical juncture in the Company’s journey.
Charles was an active and popular member of the Board. His cheerful and approachable demeanour earned him the respect and admiration not only of his fellow Board members, but of the whole NPRE family.
Charles had more than 50 years of experience in London and international markets. He was a Board-level innovator in reinsurance solutions, captive management, and regulatory compliance, with a strong record in business development and market leadership.
Charles’s breadth of knowledge and willingness to provide genuine advice and guidance on a range of issues were second to none. These attributes, coupled with his many personal qualities, ensure that his memory lives on.
